Why We Brew Like We Do – The Double Vision Way

At Double Vision Brewing, we don’t do boring. From day one, our mission has been simple: to craft damn fine beer that delivers full-on flavour, a bit of mischief, and one hell of a mouth party. We’re not here to just fill taps and fridges — we’re here to shake things up and give people something worth toasting to.

We set up shop in Miramar, Wellington, not just because it’s beautiful (which it is), but because it’s packed with creativity. From filmmakers to foodies, makers to misfits, Miramar is buzzing with energy — and we’re all about bottling that energy and pouring it into every brew.

But why "Double Vision"? Well, it’s not about drinking too many hazies (although we’re not judging). It’s about seeing things differently. It’s about challenging the expected and adding character where others might play it safe. We brew beers that make you do a double-take. Beers with layers. Beers with stories. Beers with heart.

When we’re not elbow-deep in hops or obsessing over our yeast profiles, we’re talking with you — the drinkers, the adventurers, the flavour hunters. Because at the end of the day, we’re not just brewing for the sake of it. We’re brewing to connect. To share. To invite people into our weird and wonderful world.

We believe beer should be fun. It should be memorable. It should surprise you in the best possible way. Whether it’s a smooth and creamy vanilla cream ale, a citrus-loaded red IPA, or a fresh-hop creation straight from the bines — everything we make is crafted to put a grin on your face and flavour on your tongue.

So, what’s the Double Vision way? It’s creative chaos. It’s pushing boundaries with purpose. It’s refusing to be average. And it’s always, always about bringing people together over a beer that’s been brewed with soul.

Thanks for being part of our journey. Whether you’re sipping from a pint in our taproom, cracking a can at the beach, or sharing a six-pack with mates — you’re part of what makes DVB what it is. Let’s keep the good times (and great beers) flowing.
